Day 5: Story of a Biocube

by Erin Lawson on March 10, 2010

It was a very exciting day for our worcester area nissan dealer! We were able to add some  more life to our biocube. We went back to Tropical Isle Aquarium, in framingham, and picked up a damsel, a goby, and a pistol shrimp.

The damsel is a stunning blue fish, but she was a little camera shy so we will be posting a picture as soon as she is a little more comfortable. The goby and pistol shrimp re more difficult to see, but we did include a video of the shrimp carving out his new home. The interesting thing about the shrimp and the goby is that they work together. The goby will stand by the shrimps cave like a soldier as he carves it out and then the goby stays inside the hole the shrimp dug as a protector. They live together in harmony until the pistol shrimp decides to carve out a new home. He digs a few underground holes and then chooses one to stay in. We will be keeping a close eye on them and keep you updated.Day 5 Biocube
