Keeping track of sales receipts can be a daunting task for consumers. Many people do not even bother because they either forget to get a receipt, it accidentally gets thrown out, or they are just too lazy. The new Lemon App for the iPhone could make all that stress disappear, or potentially even a bit fun! The employees at the Framingham Nissan Dealer will do whatever they can to make a daunting task more enjoyable.
The iPhone is the highest selling smartphone to date. It makes perfect sense that Lemon.com would choose the iPhone to launch its first app with. The app takes pictures of your receipts and keeps track of your spending for you! No longer is there a need to sit in front of the computer and keep record of your purchases manually. The more people that keep track of their spending, the more cases of identity theft that will be caught. Also, the more people who keep their records online the less paper is used.
To work the app, what you do is take a picture of your receipt. Then, the app records and transfers it into a digital version that you can view whenever necessary. If the receipt is longer then the screen will allow, simply click a button that allows you to add to the previous receipt. Continue taking yet another photo of the remaining receipt but make sure that it is lined up with the previous one. Lemon will create your continuous receipt for its records.
The only flaw Lemon has is that once the image is taken you can not edit any information. Data that had been entered, like the store’s name, can not be changed. The only way to change any of it is to delete the receipt and start again. A simple edit option would make a world of difference.
I am excited to get my own iPhone soon to try this new app for myself. It is going to keep my purse clean from all those cluttering paper receipts!
