Researchers are very curious to understand their perspective, so they have started to perform fMRIs on these loyal pals of ours. Just being able to know how dog’s think and what’s on their minds daily would be eye-opening. Scientists at PLoS ONE have captured images of dog’s brains that weren’t sedated. The dogs were trained to sit still by using hand signals that showed a treat would be given or not. When the dogs saw the treat signal, a region in the brain that is associated with rewards in humans  showed activity. When the no treat signal was given, there was no brain activity. One of the dogs that was given the test was used in the SEAL team to capture Osama Bin Laden. Both dogs had a history of obedience and a well-trained lifestyle that benefited the whole project.

This study opens many doors to find out more information in dog’s minds. There is a connection between humans and dogs that we need to research more on. A man’s best friend has a lot more correlation with us than we think. Possibly even roots in the human evolution?

Hip hop’s famous trio of New Yorkers has had a tough loss the past week. Adam Yauch, the co founder of the group, has passed away. The Beastie Boys are well known for their eccentric and outgoing behavior that they incorporate into their music. Songs such as “Intergalactic” and “Girls” were huge hits in the late 90′s and early 2000′s. Their music inspired many people around the world and their unique style of rapping proved to millions how diverse they were from other artists. Adam was diagnosed with a form of cancer in early 2009. It’s amazing how he was able to fight through it for so long. Not only was he an outstanding lyricist, but he was also the founding member of the Milarepa Foundation which produced the Tibetan Freedom Concert benefits. He truly was a role model for many and his name will always be remembered in the hearts of his fans, friends and family.

A few days ago, the new 2013 Nissan Sentra had been revealed at the Beijing Auto Show. The last update was in 2010 and the new look for next year is definitely an advancement for Nissan’s small sedan. Here at your local Used Nissan Dealer Marlborough, we’re excited to see the new, head-turning updates for Nissan’s 2013 line-up.

The Sentra SR showed remarkable LED-accented taillights and a more eye-catching deck lid. It’s also complete with a grille that looks similar to the 2013 Altima, with fog lights and LED-accented headlights. As far as a release date goes, we won’t see the Sentra hit the road until next fall. The Altima goes on sale this summer, followed by the updated Pathfinder. The Rogue crossover and Versa compact hatchback will come after.

The Bejing Auto Show had a special appearance by an Italian comrade. The Urus was the first concept SUV by Lamborghini that was introduced at the event. Hopefully, with 600-horsepower packed inside, this SUV could profit China’s recent growth of interest in luxury cars. The urge for SUVs in China has been on the rise lately. Bigger and more expensive rides are becoming very popular and the Urus could become a thriving star in this transition. 2.1 million SUVs were bought in China last year. The price of the Urus, if made, would surely be one of the more expensive SUV vehicles on the market. It’s possible it could flourish in China, but what about other countries?

Its competitors would include the Porsche and Bentley SUVs. Both of those are priced between $48,000 and $200,000! Talk about high rollers! Lamborghini’s first attempt at an SUV was in 1985 and that concept didn’t last too long. Now that there’s a higher demand for crossovers and SUVs, luxury car makers are trying to come up with edgier, but sleek vehicles. If you had the money to spend on a beautiful, luxurious SUV, would the Urus spark your interest?

Cosmetic and plastic surgery has been an evolving infatuation for some time now. From Botox to breast implants, the list goes on and on and it seems there will always be a new trend in that business. Currently, the new thing now is chinplants. Yes, as odd as it sounds, many people are getting new chins. We here at Used Nissan Dealer Marlborough aren’t surprised at all, we actually find it quite amusing.

Our society is much more image driven than it has ever been. With Facebook and other social media sites, you see one bad picture of your double chin and you freak out. Hey, everyone has a bad picture now and then! For others, they will go to the extreme to get rid of that extra skin to elongate their necks. Chinplants though? It just seems crazy to us how people are truly that obsessed with the way they look that they’re willing to spend thousands on enhancing their features.

We understand that there are plenty of people that choose to get surgery because they actually need it; not just to look like a celebrity or to impress your ex’s current girlfriend. The question is: Are these people already happy or are they doing it to feel happy? Surgery procedures don’t always go as planned and sometimes could make you feel less happier than before. It’s very risky but in our opinion, if you’re trying to look better than someone or become a famous clone, purchasing a better camera or taking different angled pictures could ultimately eliminate the double chin.

There’s always that one, troubling issue with brides to be and their wedding dresses: their weight. Most women feel comfortable in their dress when they’ve lost some weight and don’t have to worry about not fitting into it. Being a woman, I understand their issue but, this new diet seems to be a bit debatable. This diet involves patients to have a 2/3mm in diameter tube inserted into their nose down their esophagus and into their stomach. In a small bag, that you would have to carry throughout the day, is protein-based nutrition. It allows you to see your intake of calories, which I may add, isn’t over 1,000. If you’ve never been on a diet before, this surely will make you not to want to go on one afterwards.

Consuming a low intake of calories can put your body into shutdown mode. Your mind and body aren’t used to eating such a small amount of food. Eventually you would become tired and weary. If you think losing 20 pounds in 10 days is healthy, you’ve got to be very desperate. If you simply eat fewer portions, a calorie intake around 1,500, and exercise, that extra 10-20 pounds will surely come off within a few weeks! It takes dedication and devotion, but if you want to lose weight the healthier way, without a feeding tube, you’ll see better results and your mind and body will be content.

In a recent national survey, it was revealed that high school math teachers rated white females math abilities lower than white male students. Even if both tests were comparable, teachers are still giving lower grades to white girls rather than anyone else. Another factor you have to consider are male teachers. They could be more bias towards girls than a female teacher for unnecessary reasons. Maybe it’s sexism? Or even racism? Whatever the problem is, teachers should treat each student in a fair manner and respect their abilities.
